In the heart of Johannesburg, local artists will actively collaborate with local formal decorators to give back to society as part of a residential programme that aims to revitalize public spaces and imagine innovative solutions to meet the need for public breaks. They developed "side-by-side seats": a series of 6 seats that can be interchanged, made from recycled wooden pallets, and become mobiles seating units.
The design of the seats interlocks with each other as part of a singular structure. The upper backrest, also covered with plants, can serve as a characteristic green belt. Place them around the city streets in different locationss in Johannesburg, inviting public participation and interaction.
